Have you ever caught yourself creatively in a rut and uninspired with your camera? It happens to all of us. Last month, I felt a little creative rut coming on. I was not loving my personal photographs and decided to challenge myself. So, I set out to photograph a personal project with these goals:
- Experiment with the 24mm lens and look for wide angles
- Look for light in different spaces
- Capture more of our everyday life as it happens; less planning more shooting for fun and more creativity on the fly
And this is what I found!

Goal: 24mm Lens + Sunset Light

Goal: Creativity on the Fly. I love the angle and the layering of the grass.

Goal: 24mm Lens + Creativity on the Fly. I tend to look for lighter background colors when I photograph. Our dark wooden floors challenged me creatively to try something different.

Goal: Late Afternoon Light

Goal: 24mm Lens + Afternoon Light. Our kitchen is another spot I tend to avoid as it has very little light. I found a pocket of light one afternoon and went for it.

Goal: Afternoon Light + Shadows. This is another spot I tend to avoid since it has very little light. I decided to play on the shadows and have fun with this angle.
