My favorite milestone to photograph is baby sitting up. Hands down, it is so much fun to capture. Your baby sees the world differently once that milestone is achieved. More things become in reach for him or her. Expressions of surprise and curiosity line baby’s face.
When Trace began sitting up last month, I started brainstorming the many ways I wanted to capture the milestone. Inside or outside? Lighting ideas? While I was prepping for another session one afternoon, I decided to bring my family to the LSU AgCenter Botanic GardensĀ in Baton Rouge to photograph in the sunflower fields. I envisioned Trace being excited to grab any sunflower he could. Let’s just say that is exactly what happened plus he reached for many more things like my favorite hat and Charles’ beard. Capturing his curiosity is exactly why I love this session! Check out some of my favorites below!
