Friday marked the two year anniversary of the day I began blogging! I published my first post on September 30th, 2014. I was terribly nervous. And every day since then I have done my best to continue the blogging journey. To add to that, it was this time last year that I realized I was ready to create a business. October marks the month I created Ashley Landry Photography. I have officially made it one year in business!
Woo hoo!!

One this day I have a tradition to purchase one cupcake. I photograph it because that is what I love to do. And then I sit beside the window, I savor each bite of a cupcake, and I enjoy the feeling of accomplishing a goal.
I wanted to write something for today. So, here is the short, sweet, simple version.
I am celebrating. I am celebrating because I am so proud of what I have accomplished. I am celebrating because I wrote out goals and I did the hard work even when it wasn’t easy and I made it to the two year mark. I said yes to growing this space even when I was unsure of how it would turn out. I am celebrating because I made it a priority to find something that I loved. Something that left me feeling joyful and fulfilled, and I found it. That is how I feel every time I write. And that is especially how I feel every time I photograph. I am celebrating because I want to remember moments like this. So, when I am off searching for the next challenge and possibly growing weary in the difficult moments, I will remember what it felt like to accomplish something that was so important to me.
Short, sweet, simple words.
XOXO – Ashley “AKA The Future Mrs. Hooker”
One last thought… Last year at this time I wrote four posts about blogging and how it felt to be a blogger and what I learned (You can check them out here, here, here, and here). They were beautiful posts, and I put quite a bit of effort into creating that content. This year, however, I wanted to do something different for “celebrating”. I thought about how I truly wanted to celebrate. And that is when I realized I wanted this celebration to be simple and quiet and enjoyable. So, that is the idea behind today’s post. Enjoy exactly where you at. THANK YOU for following along for two fun, challenging, growing, and happy years of my life. I love that I am able to share this with YOU!
Happy anniversary ! Enjoy the moment
Congratulations may God continue to bless your life
