You may recognize a few of these smiling faces. In May, I captured Ms. Bailey for her upcoming birthday and Mr. Ryan with newborn photographs in July. Later in the year when the Henry family contacted me for family photographs I was beyond excited! I always have so much fun with their family, and Bailey keeps me laughing every time I am around her.
Before our shoot, Jamie mentioned she saw a family pose on a card that she wanted to try with her family. She loved the idea of having baby Ryan look over a shoulder. I had her send me a shot of what she was thinking about. When I saw the picture, I did research with similar pose ideas to make sure I could capture something she loved. When we began the session that was the first pose I incorporated because I knew how important it was to capture.
My favorite moments on this shoot were seeing how Bailey and Ryan were together. She was so sweet with her brother. When it came to capturing both both Bailey and Ryan , I opted to try for a “hug”. I had Bailey give her sweet baby brother a hug, but rather than around the waist she went straight for a pat on the head and a little squeeze around the neck. Ryan laughed. I laughed. And her parents were smiling just as much behind me. Every time I see that photograph I think of the story behind it. She is so much fun!
When I sent Jamie her photographs the following week, she had some really great feedback that I am so glad she shared. She was very thankful that I kept the session short and organized. Between a toddler and another under a year, she was worried they wouldn’t be able to stay interested the entire time. I am so thankful was able to provide the Henry family with an experience they enjoyed!
I hope you enjoy these photographs as much as I have!
