Good morning, y’all! With the holidays right around the corner, I’m sharing one product that I am so glad I purchased this year… my Kelly Moore Bag! It is a fashionable camera bag for photographers. If you have a photographer on your Christmas list or maybe you are just in the mood to splurge on a stylish bag, this is a great purchase for you!
A personal goal this year was to use my camera more frequently. To help me achieve this goal, I needed to find a way to carry my camera with me each day. This led me in search of the perfect camera bag. I was looking for a bag that had style yet was comfortable and practical for everyday use.
I searched for months before finding the perfect camera bag that worked for me. Months. I kept stumbling upon bags that were too bulky or uncomfortable to carry. And bags that were practical, but lacked style. I knew what I wanted. I just had to actually find it, and settling on a product wasn’t an option for me. I searched in stores and online, and what I realized was that I still wanted to see the bag in person before making the purchase. This led me to Ruston, Louisiana where I found the Kelly Moore Bag Store back in February of this year. As soon as I walked through the doors, I realized this would be the place I purchased my camera bag.
What is a Kelly Moore Bag? You can check out the website here to learn more, but the short version is this. Kelly Moore is a photographer located in Louisiana who created a camera bag that she needed in her life. One with style that could carry her gear along with all the necessities for life.
Which bags do you own? I purchased the 2 Sues in indigo back in February and loved how it fit into my life. I traveled with it to Alaska this summer! I was very pleased with how it held everything together and how it was so comfortable to carry during the trip. When I returned home (around July 4th), I lucked out on a sale and added the kelly green Esther to my collection. I use the Esther bag as an everyday purse more than anything because I love the color (it gives a pop of color to any outfit), and I can fit my laptop or notebooks in the inside pockets. My 2 Sues bag is what I often take while shooting because the size is just right to fit my camera body and an extra lens. It doesn’t get in the way while trying to capture that perfect shot.
What do you LOVE about these bags? Here a few reasons why I LOVE them.
First Reason: Style. I wanted my camera bag to look like an every day bag. Why? Because I wanted the bag to fit into my daily style. I knew if it fit with my everyday style, then I would get more use from it. Getting more use = not feeling guilty for adding another purse to my closet.
Second Reason: Comfort. If you have ever lugged around your DSLR camera, you know how heavy it can be. Not to mention if you plan on carrying extra lenses or batteries or anything else. Your shoulders will hurt in no time. Sturdy straps are a MUST. Most Kelly Moore Bags come with two options for straps: over-the-shoulder or a cross body strap, which makes carrying equipment so easy. With these options, you can choose what will work best for you depending on your day.
Third Reason: Travel. Because I blog I tend to take my Macbook or iPad with me quite often. I wanted extra space in my camera bag to carry those other items with me rather than adding another bag to the mix. I didn’t want to be the girl that had a purse, a camera bag, and a laptop bag. I’ve been that girl before, and it is just too much.
Fourth Reason: Pockets. The amount of pockets in this bag is perfect and practical for a photographer. Or anyone really. You have spaces for camera cards and extra equipment and pockets to keep keys safe and an area to carry credit cards. So. Many. Pockets. Those pockets make life easier.
What if I’m not a photographer? That is the best part about a Kelly Moore Bag: you don’t have to be a photographer to get great use from it. Because each bag is styled to look like an everyday purse, you can use it that way. Plus, each bag has a square insert that you adjust to keep your camera equipment safe. However, if you don’t have camera equipment, adjust the square insert to whatever size meets your needs or remove it completely. It is whatever works best for you!
If you haven’t found the perfect camera bag yet, check out Kelly Moore Bag to see if these will fit into your lifestyle. Each bag has a video attached to it to show you how to get the best use from it. And if this isn’t the one for you, keep searching and don’t settle. I promise… that perfect camera bag is out there!
Happy shopping and enjoy your day, everyone!
