Happy Wednesday, friends! I can’t wait to celebrate the next few weeks with all the holidays coming up. I am a big Christmas fan. Red. Green. I can’t wait to see all the decorations! And I can’t lie, I’ve already been thinking about how I want to decorate and maybe doing a little bit of shopping. Just a little. But before we get to all the red and green, I’m taking advantage of fall as well. So what’s been happening these last few weeks…
I started October off with a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium (#GeauxTigers)! We also celebrated a few birthdays with the family this month. My godchild turned four and wanted a Princess Sofia themed birthday. So, of course, we made that happen. She loved it! She opened presents and my nephew helped her blow out the candles (i.e. he blew them out before she even realized it and we did a relight so she could blow them out too) – it was great family time! We had the first cool weather of the season, which meant a trip the produce stand and breaking out the big pot for cooking soup. I love soup. Hot or cold weather – I could eat it all the time. In addition to cooking a soup, I spotted this Energy Bite Recipe on Pinterest a few weeks back that I had been dying to try. It looked super easy and so I gave it a shot one afternoon. Twenty-four hours later, we were “bite-less”. It is an easy snack to keep in the fridge to munch on, and they are delicious! I’ve made it twice since then (one batch with dark chocolate and another with white chocolate), and I’m sure I will be mixing up another batch soon. On the photography side, I’ve been putting together a few background and photography ideas for family photo sessions during the first few weeks of November. This will be my first time shooting a seasonal family session for a few families, and I can’t wait to see how it comes out. Now, let’s see what I have been photographing this month!

One of my favorite post to write are these monthly photography posts. I love putting these together because it shows the growth in my skills, keeps me motivated to continually pick up my camera, and allows me to see what I accomplish each month as it was my goal this year to improve my photography. For me, seeing progress is extremely rewarding. If you missed any part of this series, you can check them out here:
and July…. I vacationed 🙂
