Busiest Month of the Year: July
Busiest Day of the Year: February 17, 2015 with A Louisiana Tradition: Mardi Gras
My Favorite Post to Write: Any one of the Alaska posts that were written. Well, I loved writing the post dedicated to Juneau here… I felt like I captured that day the best. It was fun to relive that trip for a week!
Describe the First Year: Humbling as you will have to ask for help many, many times. Rewarding as you will discover how your actions can inspire others. Challenging as you will have hurdles to overcome (and, don’t worry, you will overcome them).
Personal Accomplishments: Improved writing skills and grew in my love of photography.
Blogging Goals
Every six months I evaluate where I am headed and where I would like to go. It keeps me focused and helps me to continue moving forward. With that being said, here is where I would like to focus my time and efforts regarding this space for the next six months.
Goal: To transition this space. I’ve enjoyed this last year greatly. I feel like the next step for me is to create a part-time photography business in the Baton Rouge area shooting lifestyle and portrait photography (currently in progress – Yay!). I want to spend the next six months developing a well-rounded photography portfolio. I want to see what I enjoy shooting (and what I don’t enjoy shooting) to further determine how to grow my photography skills. I want to document my story as I learn. I want to grow this website into more. More life. More inspiration. More business. More photography.
Goal: To create. I want to create as often as possible. I want to use my words and actions to give inspiration to others. I want to explore other topics and different writing prompts and unique ideas. I want to continue to explore photography and designing shoots and capturing moments for others because it is what I love to do.
Goal: To be organized and develop a system that works for me. I want to be efficient with my time. I want to make sure I am using my skills wisely so that I can continue to grow. Organization allows me to keep everything on track and helps me to see where I need to put my efforts. I want to continue to try different ways until I find a system that works for me.
Alright friends, I believe that is it for me today! I’ve celebrated. I’ve determined where I want to go next. Now, I’m off to enjoy my Wednesday with a feeling of accomplishment! Always a great feeling…
