Happy Wednesday, friends! On the last week of July I looked at my August calendar and realized that activities were planned for every weekend. How did that happen?! After work and on the weekends are the times that I use to publish this space. That is when I brainstorm and prep and make magic happen to keep this space going. When I see packed weekdays and weekends I get a little nervous because I know how important blogging is to me. I challenge myself each month to give this space the attention and time it needs to be successful to grow. I had a tiny moment of panic realizing how packed August was going to be. Then I realized that I will do what I do every month – I will give it my all and let that be enough. That’s my motto.
Turns out the schedule was a blessing in disguise because it challenged me to become more organized. In between birthday parties and extra workouts on the weekdays, I had to purposely plan my blogging time. I made it a point to brainstorm and photo prep prior to the week when a post was published. Posts were schedule ahead of time as well as social media images.
This type of prep beforehand hardly ever happens. I try every month for this as it makes the blogging process run more smoothly. I won’t be sitting at my laptop at the end of a week wondering why I haven’t posted yet. Trust me, I have been there. Life happens and your schedule changes, but that doesn’t mean you give up on organizing. Nope. You work with what you have this round and try something different the next. It is a learning process. A very humbling learning process. So what has been on my schedule? Let’s take a look at my favorite photographs from the month of August!
<One way to stay motivated to exercise… Set a goal for your exercise routine and setup a reward for yourself once the goal is met. Each day you will be reminded of why you need to exercise and have a reason to get healthy. Once the goal is met… Enjoy the reward! I will be enjoying mine on Monday!>
<The end to a weekday walk>
<Celebrating Mikey’s 5th birthday with Ninja Turtles & Star Wars & lots of swimming!>
<Nanny duties may include the following: (1) Watching my godchild “catch” a lizard. (2) Wiping away tears after a lizard “bit” her and explaining that the lizard didn’t mean to do it. (3) Getting a photograph of her smile capturing the moment of how much happiness this little guy brought her.>
<Ms. Aubrey posing for the camera… Black & whites will always be my favorites>
One of my favorite post to write are these monthly photography posts. I love putting these together because it shows the growth in my skills, keeps me motivated to continually pick up my camera, and allows me to see what I accomplish each month as it was my goal this year to improve my photography. For me seeing progress is extremely rewarding. If you missed any part of these posts, you can check them out here:
and July…. I vacationed 🙂
Thank you for keeping up & allowing me to share these with you! Enjoy your day! – XOXO

It really is a blast! I’m so glad you are enjoying!
