Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I spent some time on Sunday putting this photography post together, and I’m excited to share!
I thought about the balance between shooting photographs and writing these past few weeks. Wondering if I should be doing more of one or the other and how they work together. I realized this month that it really is a balance between the two. I need both to be a part of my life. So, I tried to shoot more every day experiences because that is often what I write about and create more of a connection between the two. Testing out different ways for inspiration – We will see how it works!
< Evening sky on one of the walks I took this month >
< With the amount of rain we had, shooting raindrops was a must. The weather in South Louisiana can be so unpredictable. And extremely humid. But, there is something to be said about the heat and the rain and the feeling you get after walking outside once it is all complete. It is relaxing and refreshing all at the same time. I used it for inspiration this month. >
< I just happen to be a huge dog lover and met this little guy at a 5K. How could I pass on giving him a quick pet and a photo op?! Yeah, I absolutely couldn’t! >
< With being indoors quite a few days, I channeled my inner Pioneer Woman (or got caught up watching too many episodes…) and did a little cooking. We are in a year long wellness competition at work for daily steps and healthy recipes. With no chance of getting outside, the next best choice was to cook an easy side dish with ingredients I already had. You can check out the kale recipe I tried here. I love how bright they photographed and how delicious these little guys turned out! >
< The moment you realize sometimes you have to step away from behind the camera and check out the view from the front >
