Happy Friday y’all! I hope everyone has been enjoying this week and surviving the chilly weather!
I wanted to finish my blogging week with a glimpse into where this spot is headed for the next few months. Tuesday began with my recap on the first few months of blogging. The short version of that post: I’ve learned & enjoyed & tackled the little challenges that have come my way. If you missed any part of the post, you can check it out here.
After being here a few months, I am ready to set a few more goals for this space. I want to further define the direction I am headed. With that in mind, these are a few of the goals I have created:
- To be proud of this little creative space & pass it on. Why: Because blogging makes me happy. I love this little spot. Whenever I think about this space, it puts a smile on my face because I get to create. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this or not. Or if I would keep up with it. I had been hesitant to spread the word. Now that I feel comfortable with everything, I want to pass it on. I want to let others know. I want to be open about it. I want to share (starting today).
- To continually define my mission and purpose. Why: Because I want the time others spend here to be beneficial for them. At the beginning, I wasn’t quite certain the direction I wanted to take here. More photographs. Or more writing. The more I got into this, the more I realized it has more to do with how I want others to feel once they leave here. And that’s an easy answer – inspired. I want to make sure the time others spend here is worth it. I want to have a vision and mission.
- To be organized. Why: Because being unorganized and rushed is not my style. I want to organize and develop the categories that I write under (by February). My first initial posts were all uncategorized. I want to take those and place them under a category. I want to be less rushed and more prepared with these posts. I want to stick with the “write one day edit the next” process. I want to prep and schedule the night before so that everything runs smoothly in the morning.
- To step outside of my photography bubble. Why: Because I want to grow. I love photographing outside with gorgeous scenery. A sunset – yes. Flowers – yes. Scenic shots – yes. These have always come easily to me. I want to move beyond these ideas and go further. More photographing people and different locations and manual settings. I want to be less afraid of the buttons on my camera and give them a chance. I want to carry my camera with me more (starting today). I want to photograph more.
Alright, that is where I am headed. Let’s do this!
❤️❤️❤️Doors will be opening!
Let’s GROW!
